I was using Adobe Products for long time and it was good. Recently I have upgraded my computer system to windows xp sp3 and after that all the Adobe products are not working well. I was thinking to get some alternatives so that I can do my works again. When I tried to uninstall Adobe, I was suffering from the very same problem that occurs with many antivirus programs i.e. The Adobe was unable to uninstall from my system. Please suggest any ideas for it.

I had the same problem with one of the adobe product named as Adobe Reader 8.0 on my windows based computer system. Traditionally you can use the windows Add or remove programs but it does not work then you need to search some alternatives. You can do the manual uninstallation as well as can go for any third party application uninstaller program.
To manually uninstall adobe, the steps are:
- Enable all the hidden files, folders and file name extensions to be visible.
- Try the uninstallation using Add/Remove Programs
- Make your computer prepare for the Adobe uninstallation. For this you can use diagnostic mode for windows XP. To do so type msconfig . Click on the startup tab and services tab. Then record all the unselected items. Then go to the general tab and choose diagnostic setup. Then click on OK and restart the windows.
- You need to remove all the adobe registered files. You can use the registry cleaning utility for this or if you know what files to be deleted for the product then you can delete them from command prompt. After that delete the folders that were created in program files, documents and settings and links
- Using the registry editor, remove all the invalid key and entries and reboot the system
This is a risky process because you can need to known with all the files.
