I was using Kaspersky antivirus 2009 and it was quite good in protecting my PC from various threats. It was good but it takes huge system resources that make my PC slower. I was working on some applications that need higher system resources and so I was planning to uninstall the antivirus. I tried uninstalling but it does not completely uninstall from my system. What do I should do now? Please suggest!
 
Answer 1 The creators of Kaspersky Lab have received this kind of issue before and so they have worked on it. They came with a Removal tool for Kaspersky Lab Products (it includes Kaspersky antivirus too). The name of utility is kavremover10.exe which you can download from the official website of Kaspersky Labs.
After installing it to your system run it. It will give a code from a picture to enter in a box. Enter the code and click on Remove. Wait until the dialog box appears for the successful removal of the product. Then reboot the system.
If you have further facing the same problems then you can use the third party uninstallation utility to securely uninstall the files from your system. Perfect Uninstaller is a good utility to uninstall Kaspersky Antivirus.
