Just few weeks before I downloaded newest version of windows live messenger, it was ok and working fine but now it stopped working so I thought to remove it from computer so that I can reinstall it again. I want to uninstall Windows live messenger on windows vista but whenever I go to Add/Remove program and features windows live messenger was not there. How do I perform this task?

Answer 1 You can try different method to uninstall windows live messenger. I am also using windows live messenger from past few years and only one time got this problem. Follow these steps to uninstall it windows live messenger if you Add/Remove programs has not listed Windows Messenger:
- Open C drive and right click on the folder and press on search. Search sysoc.inf which is most likely resides in “C:\\WINDOWS\\inf”.
- Select and open the file
- You will be find the line “msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide…..
- Remove the word Hide
- Don\'t deleted comma
- Click save
- Now open your control panel >>Add/Remove program >> Add Remove Windows Components, now you can find Windows Messenger
- Uninstall it now
You can also use manual file deletion method to remove windows live messenger. Go to the start >> computer >> C: >>Program files >> Windows live delete all the files or folder.
