After my Kaspersky Antivirus expired, I downloaded the Eset Nod32 Antivirus for the official site and initially this work well for 5 days. After 5 days it crashed and message was appearing to reinstall the product again. I tried to uninstall it through control panel but it fails. I just don’t know the cause of the problem and so asking here for any kind of helpful tips to uninstall it completely. Please reply soon!
 
Answer 1 There are three ways one can uninstall ESET Nod32 antivirus from your system:
- Using windows Uninstaller
- Using NOD32 Remover Tool
- Manually Uninstall Eset Nod32
- Method 1: Using Windows Uninstaller
- Click on start button
- Click on Programs / All Programs
- Find ESET and click on it
- At last find the Ininstall button and click on it to start the uninstallation process
- If it does not worked then move to next method.
- Method 2: Uninstall NOD32 Removal Tool
- Download the Nod32 Removal Tool by visiting the page http://www.nod32.nl/download/tool/nod32removal.exe
- After downloading, install it on your PC and execute it. It will open as a wizard and you need to follow the steps to complete uninstallation
- Reboot your PC
- If this method also fails then follow the method 3.
- Method 3: Remove Eset Nod32 Manually
- Boot your System in Safe mode
- Open the windows registry by typing regedit in Run Dialog box and pressing Enter
- Find the registry keys:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\ESET
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\ESET
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Run\\egui
- Now show all the hidden folders and go to c:\\windows\\inf and delete the INFCACHE.1 file from the folder
- Restart the system and delete the folders:
- C:\\Program files\\ESET
- C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\ESET
- C:\\Documents and Settings\\%USER%\\Application Data\\ESET
This way you will completely uninstall ESET NOD32 from your system. If you still have some problems then you can try some professional third party uninstallers and utilities that are available free as well as purchased version.
